The Leeds International Film Festival is an annual event showcasing numerous films from around the world over a three week period. This year's festival takes place from 1 to 18 November 2012 and features a number of Japanese film screenings, both anime and live-action, at various venues in Leeds.
The Fanomenon Anime Day 2012 is being held on Sunday 11 November 2012 at Leeds Town Hall with the screening of five anime films: Asura, Wolf Children, Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning and Berserk: The Golden Age Arc 1 - The Egg of the King & Arc 2 - The Battle for Doldrey. A pass for all five films is available for GBP 15.00 (GBP 12.00 concessions).

The Thought Bubble festival of sequential art is taking place during the film festival, from 11 to 18 November 2012, with a two-day comic book convention, including a cosplay competition, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November 2012.
