The Leeds International Film Festival is an annual event showcasing numerous films from around the world over a three week period. This year's festival takes place from 6 to 21 November 2013 and features a number of Japanese film screenings, both anime and live-action, at various venues in Leeds.
The Fanomenon Anime Day 2013 is being held on Sunday 17 November 2013 at Leeds Town Hall with the screening of six anime films: Garden of Words, Hal, Patema Inverted, Steins;Gate the Movie: Loading Area of Déjà Vu, Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo and Akira - 25th Anniversary Screening. A pass for all six films is available for GBP 25.00 (GBP 20.00 concessions).

The Thought Bubble festival of sequential art is taking place during the film festival, from 17 to 24 November 2013, with a two-day comic book convention, including a cosplay competition, on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November 2013.
