The Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal

17 to 19 October 2014

The Lakes International Comic Art Festival is taking place in Kendal, Cumbria, from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 October 2014.

It will include the following manga and anime related events:

• 5 September to 26 October 2014:
  • Drawing On Japan - exhibition of artwork by Glyn Dillon, Junko Mizuno and Fumio Obata
• Saturday 18 October 2014:
  • 11:00am-4:00pm: We Draw, U Draw - drawing session with artists including Chie Kutsuwada
  • 3:15pm-4:15pm: Demons and Desires - interview and Q&A with Junko Mizuno
  • 7:30pm-9:45pm: The Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu) film screening
• Sunday 19 October 2014:
  • 10:45am-11:45am: Drawing on Japan - live drawing session with Glyn Dillon and Fumio Obata
  • 11:00am-12:30pm: Make Your Own Manga workshop with Kate Holden
  • 11:00am-1:00pm: Live drawing session with Junko Mizuno
  • 11:00am-4:00pm: We Draw, U Draw - drawing session with artists including Chie Kutsuwada
