Silent Japanese films screening with narration at The University of Manchester

The University of Manchester's School of Arts, Languages and Cultures presents a screening of a selection of silent Japanese films accompanied by live narration by renowned benshi (narrator) Ichirou Kataoka. The event will take place at the Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama at The University of Manchester on Tuesday 21 October 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

The films being screened include Tokyo March (Toukyou Koushinkyoku) and some classic animated shorts. The films will be screened with narration in Japanese accompanied by English subtitles. The event is free-of-charge to attend, but attendees should book a place in advance.
